What are your intentions for joining this site?
I have a 9 year old nephew with Down Syndrome and my best friends son (who I consider to be my nephew) is 2 1/2 and he has Down Syndrome, they are the most precious beautiful children on the face of this earth- I love them with all my heart and soul. I wanted to have a forum where other families, friends and relatives can come together to share information, uplifting inspiring stories, support, pictures, etc. we can be an online family for one another!
About Me
I am a Registered Nurse, Reiki II practitioner and a travel agent. Married for 20 years with two beautiful girls- I LOVE my family! I work full time for a nuclear stress testing company- I love my job. I am opening a Well-Being Center which will feature Reiki sessions and classes.

Thank you for the comment sorry so long to comment back, being apart of other sites makes hard for me to get to every one because of my lil one. You have some beautiful pictures up. I am so stoked on being able to put Sarah Palin in office for the good of our children. Blessings to you and your family.

Thanks Annemarie! I know the pic of Carmen after her surgery is sad, but I wanted people to know that no matter what we love our kids:) Through it all we would do it all again. That would be great if we could meet someday. I love meeting people that have loved or been loved by someone with DS.

Hi Annmarie,

Thank you for the nice welcome. Joey is 21- a simply good natured, intelligent person.

Although all my children were adopted, Joey is unaware of this. He says he came from my 'tummy' and I have to admit he feels as though he is a part of me. Thank you for asking. I am grateful for the gift of Joey.

I am glad to know you are a nurse. So many things we could discuss in the near future.
Take care.
